    Tourists came to this part of the world usually visits Cambodia more famous tourist attraction Angkor Wat on the northern part of the country near the city of Siem Reap.

    But apparently, Phnom Penh is now becomes a discovery for most of people, especially the young ones.

    In fact, after a few days in this city, you notice that Phnom Penh has something of a “next Prague” vibe about it — a place where many young people from around the world, heady with excitement and the thrill of the unknown, are coming to reinvent themselves.

    Asia’s Most Expensive Hotel Rooms: US$11,183 per night

    Intercontinental, Hong KongAccording to Forbes’s Most Expensive Hotel Rooms In The World, Presidential Suite at the Intercontinental, Hong Kong at US$11,183 per night is the only hotel in Asia that make the cut.

    At 7,000 square feet, the new Presidential Suite at the Intercontinental, Hong Kong is one of the the city’s largest. It has five bedrooms, a duplex living room with two-story windows, and a 2,500-square-foot wrap-around terrace with views of Victoria Harbour. There is also a private study, kitchenette and 24-hour room service from Alain Ducaisse’s Spoon restaurant–not available at any price to anyone else in the hotel.

    The Hilton Phuket Arcadia Resort & Spa is offering special rates between 11 and 17 April for the Songkran holiday. Songkran holiday is known also as water festival for Thais.
    Every year during the month of April, many Thai people return to their place of birth to reunite with parents, families, and friends. They join together to celebrate the arrival of the new year in accordance with the solar calendar. During this time, they celebrate the festival with an exotic blend of peaceful customs, participate in parades with elaborately decorated floats and join fun-filled water-splashing activities that are enjoyed all over the country.

    Travellers to Phuket can celebrate the festival at Hilton Phuket Arcadia Resort & Spa in style with the special Songkran Package, priced at just 3,999 Baht (100 USD) per night, for a minimum stay of three nights (normal price is more than 200 USD)

    Guests can expect the spacious and comfortable accommodation of a Guest Room Garden View, as well as daily Euro-Asian buffet breakfast at Sails Restaurant.

    The Songkran package also features several activities that guests can choose to participate in, namely:

    Shangri-La Asia: 15 more hotels in China

    SHANGRI-LA Asia Ltd, Asia’s biggest hotel operator, controlled by Robert Kuok, has four hotels in Beijing and expects more opportunities in the capital and in smaller markets such as Chengdu and Urumchi, said Symon Bridle, chief operating officer.

    The company expects to increase the number of properties in China to more than 35 from 20 in the next three years to tap the country’s growing economy.

    Shangri-La’s expansion comes amid an anticipated increase in travel to China, where Beijing will host the Olympic Games in 2008. Chinese citizens are also expected to travel more.
