PATA Launches Total Tourism Survey

PATA Pacific Asia Travel Association

The survey will compile the views of travel and tourism professionals on issues that will affect the future of the industry.

The results and analysis of the survey will be publish and made public by PATA for the benefit of the industry at the 54th PATA Annual Conference, April 17-21 in Macau.

  • AirAsia fly Xiamen from Bangkok daily

    Starting April 25, AirAsia, Malaysia’s budget arrier will begin daily flights from Bangkok, Thailand to Xiamen, China.

    Four Asean countries planned as AirAsia destinations: Philippines, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam – are due to take off by September.

    And other China destinations next to target are:

    • Guangzhou
    • Naning
    • Kunming
    • Wuhan
    • Chengdu
    • Chongqing

    AirAsia’s CEO Tony Fernandes words:

    “These flights may take off from Kota Kinabalu and Penang as well, not just from Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok,”

    “Coming to China is a huge step. Another major step will be to India – but not right now,”
